因此，可想而知300DPI的數位影像所表現出來的影像品質，
絕對會優於72DPI的數位影像。

4.在將影像掃描成數位化的電子圖檔之前，
必須先決定該印刷成品的輸出解析度和影像放大倍率。

5.[放大倍率]則是該影像的列印尺可與原尺寸的比率。

6.印刷品的解析度通常是以單位長度內的網線數(Line Per Inch)為單位，
隨著印刷品的類別及紙張的種類而不同，大致來說:
報紙：85lpi
彩色雜誌：133、150或175lpi
美術畫冊：200lpi

6.一般當我們採用雪銅紙等表面較光滑的紙張為印刷材質時，都會選擇
300pixels/inch (DPI)或是118pixels/cm(DPC)的解析度

如果影像需要放大，則必須再乘上放大倍率，如下列公式所示:

掃描影像解析度=印刷網線數x 2 x放大倍率

例如:印刷網線數為150線，影像須放大3倍，
則掃描解析度須達9OODPI(150LPIx2x3倍)。
又例：當印刷網線劃為175lpi時，若要將影像以原尺可排版列印，
最好用35Oppi的解析度去掃描該影像。
如果要將該影像放大兩倍排版列印，就應該用70Oppi的掃描解析度。

7.在處理黑白線條稿（Line Art）時，應以輸出設備之解析度作為掃描解析度。
例如要輸出12OOdpi的黑白相紙時，就應以12OOppi為掃描解析度。
若只用300dpi的電射印表機作輸出，那麼用30Oppi為掃描解析度即可。
